A to the B visits A to the E…

This weekend Bad Boi got himself a new ride. On Saturday we hit Mousehold. On Sunday we hit Thetford. On Monday we hit the local cricket ground. It was here that Adam attempted his most difficult jump, with a drop off of over 5ft (which I had just nailed!). The take off was good, but he lacked speed on the run up. As he sailed over the raised wall, his rear wheel clipped the edge when he dropped too early. With such a big drop, despite having his weight back, his Specialized P All Mountain ‘07 had plenty of time to rotate forwards, sending Adam head first into the ground. As his front wheel hit,the handle bar twisted, forcing the handle bar end into his groin. His head struck the ground with force and the bike continued to rotate and the chain ring cut through his jeans into his thigh. He laid still on the ground as we rallied round him. After a few minutes he stood up and examined the pain he felt in his groin to discover the initial grotesqueness of his injuries. DJ confirmed the presence of blood and recommended a trip to A and E. He’ll be ok.

Oh dear…poor Adam. Glad all okay, just concerned of the psychological aftermath of having his picture taken in his favourite nightdress…you have a paparazzi mindset Mr. Jonathan Jarrold!
Sadly, his favourite nightdress was ruined by the blood (see 1/3 up on the right hand side of photo!). They did provide a replacement dress, but it would have taken far too long to slip into, and he’d only cover that one in the red stuff too.
As a brief update - although pretty serious and requiring immediate surgery, he’s stable and watching the nurses run around!
I don’t like to hear he’s not so great and having surgery on his groin! Poor guy, hope it’s not going to damage performance abilities ;)
I’m sending powerfully good get better vibes…
The Bad Boi should be discharged today. Lets hope I can keep control of the vehicle when I bring him home whilst he describes other nasty things that they docs and nurses have been doing to him whilst in hospital! My gosh I’m not good with blood!
I am the only person in the world that hasn’t seen the injury and apparently it is ‘too low for a sister to see’. I want pictures on the site. I want to see the scar. It’s not fair.
