I’ve got a new job…

…but I can’t remember exactly what the title of that job is. What I do know is that it’s at Norwich Union and it’s doing more or less exactly the same as what I’m doing in my current job at Norwich Union.
I almost thought I wouldn’t be reporting this news when only a few days ago I received a letter in the mail from Norwich Union informing me that I had not got the job I applied for. Luckily (?) this was a mistake. Well, not exactly. I hadn’t got the job I’d applied for BACK IN MAY 2006, but it had just taken a while for them to tell me. It was just unfortunate that the timing of the letter was close enough to REDUNDANCY DAY to make me think that my time was up. Well done HR!
So, I’m still a something-or-other at Norwich Union, which sells insurance and stuff. I’m still getting the shuttle bus to the out-of-town site from the old in-town-site. I’ve given up cycling for the time-being because I have a tendancy to go over the handle-bars, and it’s cold.
I didn’t get a pay rise.

Look at it this way, at least the mix-up provided a hint of excitement and suspense. Congratulations on being a something-or-other.
Is a shuttle bus some sort of space craft?
Congratulations on getting the job you already had and not getting the job you never had in the first place…..I’m slightly confused .com… plus I reckon they’ll beat any insurance quote you guys can muster up!!
The shuttle bus is also called THE ENTERPRISE. You are correct, Mr Whyley. You’re much clevererer than you look.
Hannah, it’s not about the lowest prices. It’s about being ‘quoted happy!’
