July 16th 2006 has been and gone. That leaves me and my brother another year older than we were on July 16th 2005. Together, we celebrated our joint 50th Birthday! Yup, that’s 25 years each. That sounds fairly old, especially when someone puts it to you as being a quarter of a century old!

This photo was taken by the lovely Gem and Amy who are currently residing in Australia, the lucky things. I would love to tell you that the paper used is recycled, but I cannot back this up! It was a lovely gesture from them anyway, all the way from the other side of the globe.

Around this time last year I spent my 24th birthday down here in Norwich as a visitor. It was a fantastic birthday involving chocolate cake with strawberries, lots of alcohol and a good time spent rolling around a roller disco with a bunch of under twelves! This year, I’m no longer a visitor. That means I have to do my own share of the washing up and cleaning! A small price to pay, I’d say.

We visited the beach to catch some crabs. We visited another beach to go for a swim (which I didn’t do, because I’M OLD!), play some guitar, kick a football around, and generally jump about in the sand. It was great! This was all topped off with some good old fish and chips! A couple of nights before also involved a meal out at the Wafflehouse, some cherry beer at the Belgian Monk, and more drinks and other places.
