A day in the life of me…
Jan 9th, 2006 by Jon
My day started with cereal. This was a rare occurance in 2005, but 2006 is going strong on the ‘getting up early enough in the morning to have a bowl of cereal to start the day’ front. Weetabix was my breakfast of choice today, as it has been for the past week or so. Muesli is not in fashion right now. That said, if you happen to see a 1.5kg bag of the stuff appear on Muesli, don’t dismiss it immediately!
My trip to work was entirely on foot today. That’s because my bike still isn’t fixed (it doesn’t have to have more than one gear to be fixed. it just needs a pedal). It was a nice walk, taking in the sights and sounds of Nottingham’s student streets, the canal, and the ring road. I think my walk counts as uber productive exercise, getting me fit and getting me to work all in one!
Work was the usual 9-5, except it was 10-6. I would have stopped for a proper lunch break today, but my sandwiches had turned green through the morning. This doesn’t normally happen. Making my own sandwiches does normally happen though. Again, it’s going pretty well on that front this year, which makes me happy.
After work, another long walk home, via Sainsbury’s this time, where I picked up a few bits and pieces, including a big box of malteasers that I will be sharing with friends on Wednesday night when I go to the girls’ house for an evening of Lost.
And that, as they say, is that!

Oh for a green sandwhich :)
