The three (plus one) amigos!

What a week! it has been! Work has been pretty busy, and with a number of things to concentrate on, he constant ringing of phones can be more than a little distracting a times! I guess when you’re working on a helpdesk, you should expect the odd call now and then. It’s not been a bad week. Sure, things have not gone to plan, but when do they ever!?! Nope, it’s just been a hard week. Long hours and not enough sleep.
One really good thing that has happened in the past seven days is that my plea for somewhere to live has been answered! After weeks of looking on my own for a place to live (the odd room here and there, one bed flats, cardboard boxes, etc) I decided I would post a message on the intranet at work asking for anyone who had a friend of a friend of anyone who might be able to rent a room out to me. The response wasn’t quite what I expected, but that’s not a bad thing in this case!
Almost immediately I had an email back from a girl from a different department who was in a similar situation to me who was looking for a place with another one of her colleagues from work. She proposed looking for a three bed place we could all call our home. Result! Then I recalled that one of the guys I work with was on the lookout for somewhere to live. I asked him. He said yes. I checked with the others. They were more than happier to have another person on board the ‘house boat’! And so it was…the three (plus one) amigos were formed!
All that’s left to do is get to know each other, make sure we can live with each other, decide where we want to live, and find a place! All before we become homeless, which happens in about one and a half months for me!
